Tiananmen Square is gigantic and in the centre of Beijing. There is so much to do around it. We went to the Forbidden City and I had fun saluting all of my 'subjects' (except for Math, Science, and Social Studies, ha ha). I saw lots of funny faces and mixed up signs. There are many colourful doors, golden lions, and, my favourite, the Nine Dragon Wall. I climbed Jinshan Hill to see across Beijing.
On one side of Tiananmen Square is the humongous Great Hall of the People where I got to wear my Mao cap. I tried to be under 1.2 metres so I could get a cheaper ticket. I visited Mao in the 'Maosoleum' but I think he is made of wax. I walked on the Emperor's walkway on Qianmen Avenue. Across from the Hall of the People is the very large National Museum of China which has plenty of Mao artifacts and other historical stuff.
