Stupendous Sydney

I really enjoyed Sydney because there was so much to do. I saw the Opera House and it was very cool because it looked like ship sails. I found many different models of the Opera House. We took the Manly Ferry into the city and went under the Harbour Bridge. We saw the Rocks, visited the Queen Victoria Building, and had a picnic in Hyde Park with an ibis. It was fun filling up gas with a TV to watch. There are lots of great places to see the city but I also like going to the beaches. I enjoyed staying at the Keiperts where they let me play with their Lego.

My favourite place in Sydney was the Taronga Zoo. I got to pat a wallaby and meet some cool gorillas. We went to a fascinating Bird Show where we learned lots of interesting information about Australian birds. I met two black swans and lots of penguins. I saw some dangerous wildlife like the Tasmanian Devil, the Fierce Snake, and a not so fierce Mom. I found out I was the shortest bear. The Seal Show was amazing because a seal shot out of the water and touched a ball high in the air. We had a great view of the Opera House from the zoo gondola. Near Sydney we visited the Three Sisters but it looked more like Two Sisters and a Dog. I never stop looking for great books for Mrs. Gilmour, my favourite librarian.

Crikey!

I was very excited to finally get to see Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. There were lots of amazing animals. I got to touch koalas, crocodiles, elephants, and camels. It was fun going into the kangaroo enclosure and feeding them. I also got to touch them and pretend to be one. I did lots of silly pictures with Steve Irwin and a few animal statues. We went to a show in the Crocoseum where the zookeepers swam with huge snakes and fed crocodiles. It was an incredible time being part of the 'Crocodile Hunter family'.
