Visiting Napoleon

Paris was incredible! My stuffies were nervous going through the Chunnel which is a tunnel under the English Channel so I read to them. I found the neatest book store called Shakespeare and Co. I saw the Arch de Triomphe and a giant pyramid that was supposed to be invisible at the Louvre. At the Science Museum I had a conversation with myself and played a very wacky keyboard that made really weird noises and talked. We visited a cathedral called Sacre Coeur which looks over all of Paris. I helped my friend the Thinker think. We climbed to the top of the Notre Dame to visit the gargoyles. At the Louvre I saw the Mona Lisa and took pictures of very strange sculptures. We went to see the Eiffel Tower light up at night. Did you know it is 669 steps to the second level of the Eiffel Tower? At Versailles I got really dizzy in the Hall of Mirrors and got myself a new hat. I did not have to bow to Napoleon at his tomb. I walked down the narrowest street in Paris. I saw very strange art everywhere in Paris. Every night I climbed up into my loft bed to sleep with my stuffies.

London Bridge Is Falling Down (NOT)

London was sooo much fun. I went to the British Museum and saw an automaton ship (very cool) and the earliest clocks (one had a rolling marble). There was lots of Egyptian stuff (I want my Mummy!). The neatest place was the Natural History Museum with lots of amazing exhibits like the dinosaurs, the giant mammals, and the Earth Science exhibit. I was grossed out by the Inside Out camel. I met lots of interesting animals like a gorilla at a fancy story called Harrods and a lion in Trafalgar Square. We took a London taxi ride which was really, really fast. I got to make a 'phone call' from a London phone box. We took audio tours through Windsor Castle where the Queen takes holidays and the famous Stonehenge. I wonder how they got the rocks to stand up without cranes? I love reading Harry Potter books so I was excited to find the place where JK Rowling got the inspiration for Harry's scar at Oxford. I also got to go to Platform 9 3/4 in Kings Cross station. The food in London was great especially our huge breakfasts where I always stuffed myself. Everyday I would eat fish and chips. I met many people in London like guards that never smile and our fabulous hosts Agri and Roger. I hope to come back to London again (for more fish and chips).

Cowbells Not Schoolbells

Switzerland is incredible. I love the mountains and all the cowbells. We went hiking in a field full of cows high on a mountain that was about six thousand feet up. I got really tired hiking at the base of the Matterhorn. When we were at the top of the Jungfrau, we went through tunnels inside the mountain. There was an amazing Ice Palace and I liked the seal sculptures the best. There were people ziplining, tubing, and hiking. We got very tired walking around and I felt like my head was going to explode. I thought I was going to faint. On our last day in the mountains we had a picnic and a parasailer almost landed on us. I guess we looked like a runway to him or he needed glasses. I really want to go back to Switzerland again.

Castles and Knights

I saw many beautiful castles like Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. I had fun running through the medieval town of Rothenburg. But the best thing was meeting knights and many other olden days characters at a Medieval Festival.
